WVCA is proud to partner with a new, unique community initiative called “The Life Blood of our Community”
Due to COVID-19, many individuals and nonprofit organizations are struggling. To fill the need for blood donations and fundraising support, local community leaders came together and formed: The Life Blood of our Community. This collaboration includes a three-day blood drive that will allow community members to come together to give blood AND fundraise for amazing causes.
The event runs from December 3rd through December 5th and you can register to give blood at https://www.giveapint.org/events/lifeblood/ *
*Pre-scheduled time slots are being used to ensure COVID-19 safety procedures.
The blood donation center is located at Miller-Keystone Blood Center at 400 PA-315 Suite E, Pittston, PA 18640.
Sponsorships are also still available! To sponsor the event you can make checks payable to “The Life Blood of our Community Fund of The Luzerne Foundation” and mail to 34 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. For more information on sponsorships –> click here
ALL sponsorship funding received will be divided evenly between the participating nonprofit organizations and used for programmatic and operating costs. Additionally, if enough sponsorship support is raised then it may be matched by a local area foundation – doubling the impact of this event for the five participating nonprofit organizations.
