Why Give to Wyoming Valley Children’s Association?

Make a donation to WVCA online

The work that is done at WVCA is hard work and it requires dedicated people who are serious about the young lives that they influence. It takes money to teach these young children- no one family can do it alone. WVCA serves as an extended family for so many.

As a reputable organization in this community, it is our responsibility to pay attention to all children — with and without disabilities. We are the mechanism to do the labor- we work with the kids and we enjoy their successes. We must have the community to help us provide the fiscal resources. It is truly a committed, caring partnership.

Hope happens in our place. Our future depends on how devoted we are to our society of youngsters.  Do we see them as valued lives that require some extra time and patience? We extend a giving opportunity to each caring indiviudal who also wants to make a difference. The benefits are never ending and the children really do become achievers.

Please consider making a gift to WVCA today. We thank you.

Annual Appeal

The Annual Appeal plays an important role in the daily life of WVCA: it supports our most important asset-our students-by raising the funds to help meet the Association’s yearly operating budget. As with most non-profits, a strong Annual Appeal is vital to continuing our mission.

Capital Projects:

WVCA has launched its first ever capital campaign in Fall 2008.  For WVCA to remain a leader in providing individualized services and inclusive preschool education programs for local children, there are goals that must be met over the next several years.

These include:

  • The renovation of the new WVCA school building
  • Enhance and expand the children’s services as well as creating outreach programs to others in need
  • Secure additional funds for the endowment
  • Improving the quality of classroom environments
  • To purchase and install an elevator in the school
  • To construct a new handicapped accessible playground

These priorities encompass a capital endeavor to raise $3 million.   The Celebrating Every Child’s Next Step Campaign will challenge generous donors to new levels of giving and to introduce new donors to our important mission.

Endowment and Scholarships

To continue our mission and make a quality preschool education possible for deserving low income families, WVCA must be able to offer some financial aid. WVCA’s Scholarship Fund provides spendable revenue from investment earnings and supports scholarships for financial needy students.

Event Sponsorships

WVCA relies on several special fundraising events to help secure necessary funds to support the agency’s programs. These events offer community members an opportunity to come together to celebrate children and have a good time!

WVCA welcomes long-time acquaintances as well as new friends to all events; all are invited to join in the fun and to help support our children.  There are several ways to participate in WVCA events:

  • Sponsorships: Corporate and individual sponsorships are available and offer advertising and other promotions for the sponsor.
  • Volunteer: Volunteers are always needed to help plan and staff the events; you’re time and talent would be a great boost to our program.
  • Event Guests: If you want to have a good time and financially support WVCA’s students, join us for one or all of our yearly events.

Brick Tribute Gift

Family and Friends of WVCA are invited to make their mark at the early childhood learning center in Forty Fort through the purchase of a personalized engraved brick.  Your brick will be part of WVCA’s new outdoor classroom and green space.

You can honor or pay tribute to someone important to you through your brick’s inscription.  A brick is a permanent means of honoring something or someone special in your life.  Bricks are ideal for gifts and provide a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a friend or relative.
